Project Description

Lion Brand Yarn VR Showroom

Lion Brand Yarn has been a leader in the crafting industry since 1878. In tandem with the launch of their new re-brand, they were looking for an innovative way to showcase their latest lineup of products. We worked with their internal team to design and build a 3D showroom that would be easy to navigate while giving space to spotlight several unique sub-brands. We sourced and created 3D assets to match the style and personality of each product line and rendered custom clothing items, throws, and even a yarn art piece to match photos provided by the client. From there we used a variety of rendered perspectives to build out a virtual tour of the showroom that used videos, product photography, sales pdfs, and custom designed interactive pop-ups to immerse their customers in the space. Our software also provided Lion with the opportunity to host virtual sales meetings with their retail buyers via video chat while touring the space. While not the initial intention, the project provided a valuable new way to keep business moving virtually in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic.
